Metallic threads are intended for technical textiles and obtained by drawing (a metallic thread is refined by traction and elongation). These will be 100% metal wires in stainless steel, nickel, copper, silver... These filaments are sometimes then cut into fibers by cracking to have a fibrous appearance. They have the advantages of metal, namely very good resistance to high temperature (up to 350°C), more or less efficient electrical conduction depending on the metal and the possibility of being heated (and therefore of making the textile warm). Good antistatic properties.
