Electrical cable overbraiding is a technique used to reinforce and protect electrical cables. This method consists of applying an additional layer of braiding around the existing cable.

Thermal and electrical insulation: Depending on the material used (metal or textile insulation), it can offer greater resistance to high temperatures or reduce electromagnetic interference.
Aesthetics: In some cases, it can also be used for a specific visual finish or to differentiate cables.
