Natural jute rope: a plant-based fiber braided in France
At STN Tressage, we value French craftsmanship. Our jute rope is carefully crafted in our workshops to ensure consistent quality and strength. Jute is a plant-based fiber extracted from the bark of the Corchorus plant, prized for its raw, warm appearance. Our rope is braided from 100% jute, using 12 or 16 spindles depending on the diameter, ranging from 2.5 to 12 mm.

Unlike polypropylene or our PPTex synthetic hemp rope, which mimic a natural look, our jute has a raw, “kraft” look and a warm feel. It’s the ideal material for adding a rustic and authentic touch.

An alternative to other fibers: generally less expensive than hemp or cotton, jute offers moderate tensile strength, which is sufficient for home decor and gardening. It differs from sisal in its flexibility and softer texture, which feels less rough to the touch.
