Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) is a high-tenacity fiber with remarkable properties:
Excellent compressive strength
Thermal stability from -270°C to +260°C
PTFE is physiologically neutral, meaning it is chemically inert: excellent resistance to acids, bases, alcohols, hydrocarbons… This material can withstand anything!
Extremely low coefficient of friction: very good abrasion resistance; it’s a very slippery rope that doesn’t snag.
