Ecological and biodegradable: Jute fiber is a natural plant-based material that helps preserve the environment. Totally biocompatible, it decomposes without leaving any traces, unlike plastic.

Alternative to other fibers: Less expensive than hemp twine or commercially available cotton, jute offers moderate tensile strength, but is still sufficient for decorating and gardening. It differs from sisal, for example, in its suppleness and softer feel, less rough on the hand.
